Through-hardenable. Roller bearings.

Soft Annealing
Heat to approx. 750^oC, cool slowly. This will produce a maximum Brinell hardness of 217.

Hardening
Harden from a temperature of 800-850^oC followed by oil quenching. Hardness after quenching is approx. 59 HRC.

Tempering
Tempering temperature: 100-250^oC.

Forging
Hot forming temperature: 1050-850^oC.

Machinability
